I bought this scale because it was Postal Service "Certified" and wanted to use it with Ebay sales. The AC function failed within a few uses.I tried another adapter, but the unit will simply not work if an adapter is plugged into the AC input port. Works with the batteries, but the weights are not consistent, as the other reviewer stated. The same package varies by several ounces, which makes a difference if the weight is around the point of going up to the next pound. I compared some packages with the Post Office scale and found the packages to be 3-4 ounces light. The Postal lady suggested adding 4 ounces to the scale weights just to be safe! It would be nice if Amazon would somehow indicate Country of Origin for the products listed on their site so we could be better informed shoppers.
