(More customer reviews)I was hesitant at first to spend that much on a bulk purchase of envelopes. But these will save you a lot of money and frustration in the long term. You save money on shipping since these can be used to ship First Class Mail, and you don't have to keep purchasing new envelopes week to week or month to month. The shipping price (when buying the envelopes) adds to their cost, but they come in a big box; I can imagine it must cost what the seller is charging for the shipping price. The Shipping was prompt. I made an order on Jan 21 and I received the product on Jan 26. Not too shabby.

These labels are the same size as Avery® 5126 labels.

Here's a comparison between the Ace and Avery brands:

- Whiteness.Avery labels are much whiter.

- Thickness.Avery labels are thicker and as a result, there is less "bleed-through".I.e., that's when you can see printing or graphics that were on the thing the label is on, through the label.Although there is more bleed-through with Ace, they are good enough for shipping labels.

- Feeding through a printer.We've not had problems with either brand with our ancient HP Laser Jet 4, and my wife has printed hundreds of labels (eBay sales).

- Front vs. back.Avery prints a pattern on the peel-off back, so it's easy to tell which side is which.With the Ace labels, the texture and color is so close from front to back, it's not obvious which is which.The trick is to slightly bend a full label sheet just a little each way to find the side with a split seam; which is the label side.The other side is the peel-off backing and has no seam.

- Peeling the label off its wax-paper backing.Avery is easier, but it's not difficult with the Ace brand.

- Printing quality.Both brands oflabels print uniformly with the lettering coming out clear, bold and solid.

- Sticking.Both brands of labels are sufficiently sticky to adhere well to packaging material, whether it be paper, tyvek, or poly.

- Recycled materials.Ace labels use recycled materials.Avery does not.

- Cost.The first time we bought the Ace brand, they were 1/4 the cost of the Avery labels.Their price has gone up a bit since then, but they still cost a lot less than Avery 5126 labels.

Summary:

Avery 5126 labels are better quality, but the Ace brand is more than good enough for shipping labels.If you want the best labels, buy Avery.If you want the best value, buy Ace.

Three stars for the quality of Ace labels; an extra star for value.

(More customer reviews)Device works fine, across the room as advertised.It's a pain to install but once accomplished the Widcomm drivers are much superior to Microsoft's.

Here is how I got it to work:
1) From the Device Manager, uninstall any bluetooth devices, if you had any previously
2) Reboot
3) Run the Belkin Widcomm install program (download from Belkin's support web-site) with the adapter -not- connected.
4) When the install software asks you to connect the adapter, click on "Cancel" and still do not insert the adapter.
5) Reboot
6) Insert BT adapter
7) Within the Device Manager, click on the Belkin Bluetooth entry within Bluetooth Radios and do the following:
a. Right click-> Properties -> Driver tab -> Update driver.
b. Install from a specific location - > Don't search. I will choose the driver to install -> Select the 2nd Belkin BT device (the unchecked one because this is the Widcomm one, the checked device driver is the Microsoft one).
8) Reboot
9) Widcomm BT initial configuration software runs by itself.If it doesn't and BT adapter is not seen, reboot.

Although I have Logitech's BT base that comes with their excellent MX900 BT mouse, I like this adapter because it sits in the USB slot out of sight and does not take up any desk room.

It's very convenient to hotsyn my Palm PDA as well as to send files quickly to other computers.

(More customer reviews)I have the 6.0 version of this scale with the Red Rubberized coating. I bought it several years ago. But I am very disappointed in the "Rubberized Case".After the first couple of years, the case started to get Sticky. Top, bottom, sides. Everything that was red got sticky. Horrible to use. I finally had to rub coating off (with much difficulty). It was sticky like when you remove a sticker or label, but the adheasive does not come off. You try to remove it, but it is sticky and almost oily. The sticky stuff just slides around. If you keep rubbing it long enough, with a clean soft cloth, you can eventually get it off.

(More customer reviews)I do occasional selling on eBay and Amazon, so I jumped at the chance to review this for the Amazon Vines program. I'm so, so glad I didn't actually pay for it.

"$45 in postage*" the description promises. (*$5 immediately, and $40 after 30 days).

"Four weeks of service included*" (*and $17.99/month afterward, which is almost half of that $40 in postage they promised [28<30. Do the math])

"Free postage scale* (*just pay shipping and handling)

"Free delivery confirmation with Priority Mail services" (something that is available through the USPS website to anyone using Priority Mail).

And so on.

What's actually in the package is a bunch of mailing labels and a CD. You do get some mailing management software, but, unless you do mass shipping, it's not clear it's that much better than the interface eBay and Paypal already provide. If you jump through a bunch of hoops, and pay an exorbitant monthly fee, you'll get some value back in postage. Not worth it
